ICF Members in Northern Europe

Congregationalism has its roots within the United Kingdom.  From England, during the time of the Puritans, Congregationalism was "exported" to what later became the United Staes of America by the "Pilgrim Fathers".

There are two Associational Bodies in membership with ICF.  These are the Union of Welsh Independents (in their own language Undeb yr Annibynwyr Cymraeg) and the Congregational Federation.

There are several "local" Congregational churches in membership and a list will soon appear.  We also have a growing number of individual members.

Because the nature of the Reformation developed differently on mainland Europe and ahead of the UK protestant movement there are fewer truly Congregational churches there.  We remain committed to search out and establish links with any that do exist.
